Malbec Sauce for Steak

This silky, smooth Malbec Red Wine steak sauce pairs perfectly with beef tenderloin or any other delicate cuts of beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup Malbec
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 Tab shallot minced
  • ½ tea whole peppercorns
  • pinch salt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all ingredients except the wine in a saucepan and bring to a boil over med-high heat. Boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the wine, and reduce heat to medium. Heat the sauce until reduced by half.
  3. Strain out the solids, and then continue heating sauce until it is reduced to a syrup consistency or to desired consistency.
