Mandarin mimosa
The mandarin mimosa is a sparkling cocktail combining freshly squeezed mandarin juice with champagne or other sparkling wine and a dash of orange liqueur such as Grand Marnier. This mixture creates a bright, citrusy drink with light effervescence and a touch of sweetness and complexity from the liqueur. It is served chilled in champagne flutes, making it suitable for brunch or celebratory occasions.
Ingredients
- 3 cups mandarin juice from about 20 mandarins, chilled
- 1 sparkling wine bottle, chilled
- Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
For each drink:
- 2 oz mandarin juice
- 2 oz champagne or sparkling wine
- Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur, dash
Instructions
- Pour 2 oz of mandarin juice into each champagne flute – should be about half full for most champagne glasses.
- Add a dash of the orange liqueur or Grand Marnier.
- Top off each drink with 2 oz of champagne or sparkling wine.
- Serve immediately.
