Mango Fruit Leather (No Dehydrator!)

I'll show you step-by-step how to make mango fruit leather without a dehydrator. All you need for this recipe is 2 mangoes!

Ingredients

  • 2 mangoes ripe
  • dash chipotle salt optional, for extra flavor

  1. Peel and cut the mangoes into chunks.
  2. Put the mango chunks in a blender or food processor and puree until they are very smooth.
  3. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper and pour the mango puree onto it. Spread it out into an even layer. (If you're adding the chipotle salt, sprinkle it over the mango now.)
  4. Bake for 3-4 hours. Start checking on the fruit leather at about 2 hours, and check every 30 minutes. It's done when it is dry to the touch but still pliable. (Be careful - it's hot.)
  5. When the fruit leather is done baking, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool. Cut into strips and serve!
