Mango Habanero Wings

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 large egg
For the Flour Batter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3/4 cups cornstarch
  • 4 tsps paprika
  • 2 tsps salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sazón
For the Sauce
  • 1 whole Mango Sliced
  • 4 tbps melted butter
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 scotch bonnet peppers or Hababero peppers the more, the spicier!

Instructions

  1. Season Chicken wings with spices and egg. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix together flour, cornstarch, and spices.
  3. Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
  4. Coat chicken wings in batter, dust off any excess. Let rest for 10 minutes before frying.
  5. Fry for 10-15 minutes or until chicken is golden brown.
  6. Blend together mango, melted butter, pepper, honey. Simmer mixture, slowly add in bbq sauce and sweet chili sauce.
  7. Toss wing sauce in hot fried wings. Enjoy.
