Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped ripe mangoes
- 1 cup milk powder sweetened
- 1 teaspoon ghee or clarified butter
- ⅙ teaspoon cardamom powder for flavoring
- Chopped almonds or any nuts for garnishing
Instructions
- Blend the chopped mangoes into fine puree and set aside.
- Heat a nonstick pan with ghee. Once the ghee starts melting add mango puree.
- Stir continuously for 2 minutes. Then add milk powder and cardamom powder.
- Stir continuously until all the moisture evaporates and the mixture thickens. Make sure not to overcook.
- Once done, turn off the flame and set aside to cool down.
- Grease your palms with ghee, divide the peda dough into equal portions.
- Take a portion, roll with your palm and make a round crack free ball shape.
- Now gently press a finger on the top and put some chopped almonds or any dry fruits.
- Follow the same process and make all of the pedas.
- Mango pedas are ready. Refrigerate and serve.

Notes
- No extra sugar has been added here. As the milk powder already has sugar. Do add sugar if using unsweetened milk powder.
- Always use non-fibrous, sweet mangoes while making any sweet or beverage.
- Use canned mango pulp if fresh ones are not available.
- Use a nonstick pan to avoid sticking to the pan. However, any pan can be used.
- While cooking makes sure not to overcook. As overcooking may make these chewy.
- Any dry fruits and nuts could be used for garnishing.
- Storage: These mango sweets could be easily stored for a week when refrigerating in an airtight container.
