Maple Cinnamon Pecan Butter

Maple Cinnamon Pecan Butter is a creamy spread made by blending pecans until they release their oils, then mixing in maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. The smooth and slightly sweet butter delivers a warm spiced flavor from the cinnamon, balanced by the natural nuttiness and maple sweetness, suitable for spreading on toast or using in recipes.

Ingredients

  • 200 g pecans
  • 6 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Put 200 g Pecans into the food processor and start to blend them up. At first they will turn in to small chunks, and then in to a powder. After a whilst, the powder will start to clump together and then it will slowly turn in to a butter.
  2. This process will take around 10-15 minutes and you will need to stop it a few times to scrape the sides down and make sure it is all getting mixed up. Once the butter is nice and smooth, add 6 tablespoon Maple syrup, 2 tablespoon Cinnamon and 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract and pulse for a couple of seconds.
  3. Scrape out of the food processor and into a jar.

Notes

  • Toasting pecans before processing enhances flavor and helps achieve a smoother butter; allow them to cool fully before blending.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt to balance the sweetness from the maple syrup if desired.
  • Use a high-powered food processor rather than a blender for better texture and easier scraping.
  • If the butter is too thick, stir in a small amount of melted coconut oil to loosen it without adding water.
  • Processing pecans can be loud; consider making it at a suitable time to avoid disturbing others.
  • This pecan butter makes a thoughtful homemade gift when stored in a decorated jar with a lid.
