Maple Glazed Carrots
Maple Glazed Carrots are oven-roasted carrots coated in a spiced glaze featuring maple syrup and vegan butter. The mixture includes cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and white pepper for warm, aromatic notes that complement the natural sweetness of the carrots. Fresh thyme is sprinkled on top after roasting for a touch of herbal brightness. Roasting concentrates the carrots’ flavor while the glaze creates a glossy, flavorful coating.
Ingredients
- 450 g carrot
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon white pepper
- thyme fresh
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 410F (210C)
- Wash and peel the carrots. Place them on a baking tray.
- Prepare the marinade. Combine the maple syrup, vegan butter, cinnamon, ginger powder, nutmeg and white pepper.
- Coat the carrots with the marinade and bake at 210ºC or 410ºF, fan assisted oven for 30 minutes.
- Leave them to cool for 2-3 minutes and sprinkle fresh thyme on the top.
