Maple Glazed Salmon

This recipe makes for a super intensely flavored, sweet, and sticky salmon that works perfect as a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a small shallow glass baking dish, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and pepper.
  2. Add the salmon to the maple sugar mixture and turn to coat the salmon well.
  3. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon on the counter for 30 minutes, turning once or twice.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°
  5. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 15-20 minutes, basting with the sauce from the bottom of the pan once or twice during baking.
  6. Serve with a vegetable like asparagus to complete the dish!
