Maple Pecan Bars

I've got a yummy little snack to have on hand while you've got guests in town (or will be traveling) this week ... Maple Pecan Bars! These won't last long.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted, + extra for greasing the pan
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups pecans chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a quarter sheet pan (13" X 9 1/2") with butter and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, syrup, tablespoon of melted butter, vanilla and salt. Fold in the pecans.
  3. Pour mixture into one even layer on the baking sheet. Bake until set in the center and golden brown around the edges, 14 to 16 minutes.
  4. Let cool, cut into bars, and serve.
