Maple Rosemary Bourbon Sour
Maple Rosemary Bourbon Sour is a cocktail combining bourbon, maple syrup, and lemon juice with muddled rosemary for a fragrant, slightly sweet, and tart drink. The addition of maple whiskey intensifies the maple flavor, while fresh herb and citrus garnishes add aromatic layers. Served over ice, this sour showcases a balance of warmth, sweetness, and brightness.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces bourbon
- 1 1/2 ounces maple syrup
- 1 1/2 ounces Sortilege maple whiskey if you can't get this in your area use 3 ounces of maple syrup instead
- 6 ounces lemon juice
- 2 lices rosemary sprigs, for garnish
- 2 lices lemon sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
- Crush two sprigs of rosemary in a large measuring cup (enough to hold all of the ingredients) with a muddler.
- Add in bourbon, maple syrup, Sortilege maple whiskey and lemon juice.
- Give it a stir.
- Taste and see if it's sweet enough ( this can be sour!) and add more syrup or hey, Sortilege if you like, to bring it to your desired level.
- Strain into a clean pitcher.
- Add ice to glasses, pour over ice.
- Add a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon for garnish, if desired.
- Enjoy!
