Maple Rosemary Bourbon Sour
Description
This cocktail blends bourbon with maple syrup, Sortilege maple whiskey, and fresh lemon juice to create a maple-flavored sour with both sweetness and acidity. Crushing rosemary sprigs releases herbal oils, infusing the drink with a subtle piney aroma that complements the rich maple notes.
After muddling the rosemary, the spirits and lemon juice are stirred together and adjusted to taste for sweetness or tartness. The mixture is strained to remove herb bits, then served over ice in glasses garnished with a rosemary sprig and lemon slice, enhancing both appearance and scent.
The drink offers a warming bourbon base tempered by zesty citrus and smooth maple flavors, making it suitable for cocktail enthusiasts who enjoy complex and herb-infused sours. Adjusting maple syrup or whiskey quantities customizes the drink's sweetness level.
