Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper cut into small pieces
  • 1 red onion minced
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 dozen pitted green olives
  • 1 pound masa de cangrejo crabmeat
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly-cracked, or ground, (or more, to taste)
  • 1½ teaspoon salt (or more, to taste)
  • hot sauce to taste (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro or fresh parsley, whichever you prefer
  • Wedges of 2 limes

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over low heat. Cook the bell pepper, onion, and garlic stirring frequently until the onion turns translucent.Add tomato sauce, olives, and crabmeat. Cook over low heat until everything is heated through and steaming.
2. Seasoning
  1. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and hot sauce to taste. Sprinkle with cilantro.
3. Serve
  1. Remove from heat, and serve alongside the lime wedges.
