Masala Nuts

Spicy, salty and sweet roasted mixed nuts with warm and aromatic spices

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup pistachios
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 3½ tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepepr
  • 1 teaspoon aamchur
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add all the spices to a large mixing bowl. Add sugar and oil and mix well. Add all the nuts and mix well coating the nuts evenly with the spices.
  3. Spread the nuts on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 300 F for 20 minutes stirring the nuts every 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Allow the nuts to completely cool before storing in an air tight container.
Air Fryer Masala Nuts
  1. Add the nuts coated with spices to the air fryer and air fry at 300 F for 8 to 10 minutes shaking the basket halfway through. Tip: Air fry in two batches so the nuts are not overcrowded.
