Matcha Latte

This Matcha Latte combines finely sifted matcha powder whisked with hot water to create a frothy green tea base, enriched with warmed coconut milk for creaminess. Sweetener options like maple syrup or honey can be added to taste, allowing control over the latte's sweetness and richness.

Ingredients

  • ½ to 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • ¼ cup water hot
  • ¼ cup coconut milk warmed
  • maple syrup honey, stevia, or sweetener of choice, optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Sift your matcha so it is lump-free.
  2. Spoon the matcha into a large mug. Add the hot water and whisk briskly, in an up and down motion, until frothy - about 30 seconds or so. Add the coconut milk and whisk until well combined.
  3. Taste and add additional water, coconut milk, and/or sweetener to your liking.

Notes

  • Light coconut milk was used here, but full-fat coconut milk can be substituted for a richer and creamier latte.
