Matcha Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • 2 tablespoon hot water
  • ⅛ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 C warmed milk or non-dairy alternative
Optional add ons
  • marshmallows peppermint or regular
  • Whipped Cream
  • crushed candy cane

Instructions

  1. Place the white chocolate chips and matcha into a mug.
  2. Add in the hot water and give it a stir to dissolve the white chocolate and matcha.
  3. If you wish, you can use an electric frother to whisk the mixture.
  4. Add in a few drops of peppermint extract (adjust to your liking). It's better to start with a few drops first and then add more if it's not strong enough.
  5. Pour the warmed milk over the matcha and white chocolate mixture. Give it a quick stir.
  6. Garnish with (peppermint) marshmallows and whipped cream. (You can also brûlée the marshmallows if you wish).
