Meatball Sub Sandwiches

Make restaurant quality sandwiches at home that will have your mouth watering. These meatball subs are always a hit for the entire family!

Ingredients

  • 24 meatballs cooked (choose your favorite meatball recipe from above or use store-bought)
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • fresh basil optional garnish
  • fresh parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  1. Place meatballs and marinara in a pan to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Slice sandwich rolls, but do not cut them through. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Place marinara meatballs into sandwich rolls and be sure to spoon in the sauce.
  4. Cut the cheese slices in half and place over the meatballs in the rolls.
  5. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes. Be sure to watch close so they don't burn, but just melt the cheese and toast the rolls. Garnish with fresh cut basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
