Ingredients

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and whisk them together until well combined.
  2. Bring the pot to a boil, whisking constantly, and then reduce to a simmer and let cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the sauce from the heat and it's ready to be used. If you are making it ahead of time let it cool before placing it in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Note: I like my BBQ sauce with a little kick so I add the cayenne pepper. Feel free to leave that out, or substitute with a chipotle chili powder or regular chili powder, if you like your sauce less spicy.
