Mexican Brownies
Mexican Brownies bring a rich chocolate base enhanced with cinnamon and a touch of cayenne for subtle heat. This blend of spices creates a distinct flavor and aroma that complements the fudgy texture. Mini chocolate chips add extra pockets of melted chocolate for a textured bite.
Ingredients
- 18.3 ounces brownie mix family-size fudge
- ¼ cup milk whole
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large egg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
- cocoa powder for dusting, unsweetened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-inch x 13-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl (or stand mixer), beat together the brownie mix, milk, oil, eggs, cinnamon, cayenne, and chocolate chips until evenly combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Cut into 15 squares. If desired, dust cocoa powder or powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon on top of the brownies before serving.
Notes
- For thicker brownies, use a smaller baking pan and adjust baking time according to the brownie mix instructions.
