Mint yogurt chutney recipe
Mint Yogurt Chutney combines fresh mint, cilantro, garlic, and optional green chili blended into natural yogurt, seasoned with salt and black pepper. This creates a refreshing, herby condiment with a smooth texture and tangy flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural yogurt unflavored
- mint leaves a handful
- cilantro aka green coriander, a handful
- 1 garlic small clove
- black pepper from the grinder, freshly ground
- salt according to taste
- 1 green chili optional.
Instructions
- Put the mint leaves, cilantro, green chili, and garlic in a mini chopper. Blitz it until you get a slightly rough paste of herbs.
- In a bowl, pour the yogurt and add the green paste. Season it with salt and black pepper.
- Using a fork or a spoon, mix the yogurt until the herbs everything is well mixed. Taste it and add more seasoning if needed.
Notes
- If the yogurt is thicker than desired, add a little milk to loosen the consistency.
- Greek-style yogurt can be used but may need lemon juice and milk to balance thickness and tartness.
- Adjust salt and black pepper to taste after mixing for best flavor.
