Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh or frozen blackberries
- 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 cups Purple Grape Juice
- 3 or 4 mint leaves
- ½ tablespoon of lemon rind
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 10 Ice cubes (if you're using fresh berries)
- lemon slices for garnish
- mint for garnish
Instructions
- Throw all ingredients in a blender and mix well. To be fancy, pour the smoothie in a glass and garnish with a lemon slice (as pictured).
Cup of Yum
Notes
- To adjust the consistency: Use fresh vs. frozen fruit and adjust how much liquid you add to adjust the thickness and consistency.
- Taste and adjust: With juice and sweet, ripe berries, this smoothie is very sweet. You could reduce the amount of juice, substitute it for a less sweet liquid, and/or adjust the amount of lemon to adjust how sweet or tart it is.
- For the smoothest smoothie: I recommend a high-speed blender, adding the liquids/softest ingredients closest to the blades and frozen ingredients furthest away. Pause the machine as needed to scrape down the sides for even blending.
