Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup peeled grated apple
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Combine all the dry ingredients and add them to creamed mixture.
- Using a spatula, stir in apples, nuts, and cheddar cheese.
- Spoon the batter into greased 8x5x3-inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven and cool in the baking pan for 10 minutes, then turn on the rack to cool completely.
