Mongolian Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon hoisen sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

  1. In a ziplock bag add the chicken and cornstarch and shake to coat. In a large skillet or wok over medium high heat, add the olive oil. Working in batches add the chicken and fry each side until golden.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together the chicken broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Pour over the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce starts to thicken. Serve with sesame seeds and green onions.
