Monte Cristo Waffle Sandwich

The Monte Cristo Waffle Sandwich is a layered savory and sweet creation using whole grain toaster waffles, Swiss cheese, shaved ham, optional turkey, and raspberry jam. The sandwich is dipped briefly in an egg and milk mixture and then pan-fried in butter until golden and the cheese melts, combining crispy waffle exterior with a creamy, melted cheese and ham interior spiked with fruity jam. This technique yields a satisfying mix of textures and balanced flavors, ideal for a brunch or indulgent snack.
