Moroccan Mint Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 L water
  • 4 tbsp green tea leaves
  • 4 tbsp mint leaves
  • 4 tbsp sugar adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the loose green tea leaves.
  3. Steep the tea for 3-5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  4. Strain the tea into a teapot, discarding the tea leaves.
  5. Stir in the fresh mint leaves and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Allow the tea to steep with the mint leaves for another 3-5 minutes.
  7. Pour the Moroccan Mint Tea into cups and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a stronger mint flavor, bruise the mint leaves slightly before adding them to the tea.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar according to your preference, or substitute with honey for a natural sweetener.
