Most Delicious Caesar Dressing
This Caesar dressing combines fresh lemon juice, anchovies, garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese, producing a creamy, tangy, and savory sauce. The anchovies create an umami depth without a fishy taste, while the fresh ingredients blend into a smooth dressing perfect for Caesar salads or as a dip.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice fresh
- 2 anchovies see note below, in oil
- 2 garlic minced, cloves
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
- black pepper to taste, freshly ground
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
Instructions
- Blend the first set of ingredients. Add add the lemon juice, anchovies, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion powder, and pepper to a small food processor, and blend until smooth.
- Blend again. Add the mayonnaise and parmesan, then blend again until well combined.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Prefer fresh anchovies for a smooth, non-fishy flavor; anchovy paste is a suitable substitute.
- Store the dressing in the refrigerator for up to five days to maintain freshness.
