Mushroom Bruschetta Recipe

Caramelized mushrooms are loaded onto toasted garlic bread, then topped with Parmesan and fragrant thyme. This mushroom bruschetta is the perfect appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 1 tbsp oil olive or avocado
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lb mushrooms
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven on the broiler setting. Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Broil each side for about 3 minutes (or until golden).
  2. Remove bread from oven, rub each side of the bread with garlic. Set aside.
  3. Preheat a pan with butter. Slice the onion into half rings, and slice the mushrooms into strips. Add the veggies to the pan and sauté until they are lightly golden.
  4. Top each bread piece with mushroom mixture, grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of thyme. Enjoy
