Ingredients
- 16 donut holes any flavor, but golden brown in color
- Light brown candy melts or milk chocolate chips
- Various fall colored sprinkles
- chopped nuts
Instructions
- Using a microwave safe bowl, heat candy melts or milk chocolate chips in 15-20 second increments, stirring in-between. Continue to cook in the microwave until the candy is completely melted and smooth.
- Use your hands to gently squeeze your donut holes until they are no longer round, but more of an acorn shape.
- Dip the flat top of the acorn-shaped donut hole into the melted candy to create the cap of the acorn.
- While chocolate is still wet, add some fall colored sprinkles or chopped nuts.
- Push a pretzel piece into the top to create a "stem"
- Place on baking sheet. When all have been decorated, place the finished donut hole acorns in the fridge for at least of 30 minutes to set.
Cup of Yum
