One-Pot Spring Pasta

One-pot Spring pasta to make the longer days tastier and easier.

Ingredients
- 4 to 5 sausage I used herbed chicken sausage made fresh at the meat counter at my local grocer, casings removed, herbed, of your choice
- 1 cup pea either 1 cup frozen or 1 cup fresh from approx. 1 pound of pea pods
- 1 asparagus trimmed, and sliced into 1/2" pieces, bunch
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves
- 3 scallions green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 leek white and light green part only, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1 shallot I used a white shallot, but the purple ones work fine too, medium
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 pound spaghetti noodles broken in half
- 4 cups chicken broth reduced sodium
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt plus more for seasoning
- 2 tbsp chives chopped
- 1/4 Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese plus more for serving, freshly grated
