Oreo Rice Krispies Treats

Oreo Rice Krispies Treats are gooey marshmallow treats that are stuffed with Oreo cookie pieces!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 20 ounces mini marshmallows divided
  • 20 Oreo cookies roughly chopped

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add in 12 ounces of marshmallows.
  3. Cook over low heat just until melted, while stirring frequently.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the cereal and remaining 8 ounces of marshmallows, and stir until combined.
  6. Fold in chopped Oreos until combined.
  7. Pour into a parchment-lined or greased 9×13 inch pan and gently press into an even layer.
  8. Let the Rice Krispies cool to room temperature before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Rice Krispies cereal: Or a similar puffed rice cereal.
  • Salted butter: I like to use salted butter because the little bit of salt in the butter helps to balance out all of the sweetness.
  • Oreo cookies: I use regular Oreos in the treats. However, you can use any flavor of Oreo that you like.
