Ingredients

  • 8 ounces silver or gold rum (such as Don Q)
  • 4 ounces coconut cream
  • 4 ounces heavy cream
  • 24 ounces fresh pineapple juice (or crushed pineapple)
  • 2 cups ice
  • cocktail cherries and umbrellas (optional garnishes)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and puree until smooth before pouring in to four glasses. Alternatively, you can also use a cocktail shaker and serve over the rocks.

Notes

  • In Puerto Rico they love using silver or gold Don Q rum. This first version was actually shaken instead of blended because blenders didn’t yet exist.
