Oven Baked Potatoes - The Battle of The Spuds
This recipe for Oven Baked Potatoes involves baking whole, scrubbed potatoes wrapped in foil with butter and sea salt. Ingredients
BAKED POTATOES
- 4 potato washed and scrubbed
- butter unsalted
- salt sea salt
TOPPINGS
- 8 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 1 cup crème fraîche or sour cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
- 4 lices Bacon crisped and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chive fresh
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
OPTIONAL
- 8 ounces blue cheese or goat cheese
- green onions chopped into small round
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
- Wash the potatoes, poke them with a fork. Spread lightly all over the potatoes with butter and sprinkle salt all over it.
- Wrap the potatoes on aluminum foil and place them directly on the oven baking rack.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are very tender when squeezed.
- When the potatoes are done, cut them down the middle and squeeze both ends. Add butter and all the ingredients that you wish to add.
