Oven Baked Shrimp

Oven Baked Shrimp is a simple preparation of large shrimp tossed in olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper, and baked until just pink and opaque. This method retains the shrimp’s natural sweetness and tenderness while offering a hands-off, quick cooking approach. The shrimp can be served as is with lemon wedges for a bright finish.

Notes

  • Watch closely during baking to avoid rubbery shrimp from overcooking.
  • Pat shrimp dry before seasoning for better roasting.
  • Consider trying your own seasoning blends to vary the flavor.
  • Use fresh shrimp when possible; if frozen, thaw thoroughly and drain excess liquid before baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Thaw frozen shrimp overnight in the refrigerator before reheating or repurposing.
