Oven Roasted Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper or to taste, (less if using ground black pepper)
optional additions
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • fresh squeezed lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Arrange broccoli on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat.
  3. Rearrange broccoli so that it is in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add optional ingredients now, if using.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender and edges are crisp. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Flavor tip: add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese just before serving.
