Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper or to taste, (less if using ground black pepper)
optional additions
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2-3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh squeezed lemon

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Arrange broccoli on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat.
- Rearrange broccoli so that it is in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add optional ingredients now, if using.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender and edges are crisp. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Flavor tip: add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese just before serving.
