Over Easy Eggs
Over easy eggs are perfect for a simple and delicious breakfast you can master at home right now. Ready to eat in under 5 minutes!
Ingredients
- 4 egg large
- 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
Instructions
Over Easy Eggs:
- To a large heavy bottomed skillet (that you have a lid for) on medium heat, add the butter.
- Break the eggs one at a time into a small bowl, then gently add to the pan (this will prevent broken yolks and shell pieces in the pan).
- Cook for 1 minute (just when the edges of the eggs are turning white) then cover with lid and reduce heat to medium-low.
- For over easy eggs cook for 1.5-2 minutes covered.
- Carefully flip the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 30 seconds then serve immediately.
Over Medium Eggs:
- For over medium cook for 3 minutes covered.
- Carefully flip the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 30 seconds then serve immediately.
Over Hard Eggs:
- Cook for 4 minutes.
- Carefully flip the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 1 minute then serve immediately.
