Pan Fried Broccolini

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches broccolini
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves , thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • red pepper flakes , optional

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add broccolini, tossing to coat in oil. Saute for 2-3 minutes until they start to turn a bright green.
  3. Add garlic, Kosher salt and pepper, tossing to combine. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add water and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or unti stalks soften. They won't be fully soft and will still be crisp.
  5. Remove and serve immediately.
