Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  1. Add the shrimp to a bowl with the brown sugar, lime zest, chipotle powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  2. Pre-heat a cast iron skillet for 2-3 minutes over medium heat with the olive oil.
  3. Add the shrimp to the cast iron skillet in a single layer. Sear for around 2 minutes per side. The shrimp should be opaque by the end. Sear in two batches if your skillet is not large enough to hold all of the shrimp.
