Panino in Italian is literally Italian Sandwich. In Italy it is very usual to go to a local grocery store, and ask the clerk at the meat section for a panino, which will have anything you want to add!

Ingredients
- 1 1 flat ciabatta bread sliced in half
- 4 4 slices fresh mortadella
- 3 3 artichoke hearts packed in olive oil sliced
- 2 2 tbsp pesto fresh or store-brought
- 2 2 leaves romaine lettuce fresh
- 1 1 pinch salt
- 1 1 pinch pepper
Instructions
- Brush the inside of both sides of the Italian ciabatta bread with pesto.
- Build the sandwich with 1 lettuce leaf, the mortadella, the artichokes and a light drizzle of their oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and the other lettuce leaf.
- Top with the other slice of ciabatta, cut in half, and enjoy!
