Peach Dump Cake

This easy Peach dump cake is made with 5 simple ingredients including canned peaches and a boxed cake mix and is ready to serve in under 1 hour. Everything gets dumped into a dish and then baked until the juicy peaches are warm and gooey with an utterly delicious cake topping!

Ingredients

  • 3 .25 ounce cans of sliced peaches in syrup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 15.25 ounce yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Drain the liquid out of just one can of peaches and pour them into the bottom of the dish.
  3. Pour the other two cans of peaches along with the juices into the dish as well.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over top of the peaches.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over all of the peaches.
  6. Slice the stick of butter into thin squares and place them over the top of the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow it to cool slightly and top with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Add in ½ cup of old fashioned oats or quick oats for crispier topping.
  • Add in other fruits like fresh blueberries, blackberries etc.
  • Add chopped pecans or almond slices.
  • It is wonderful served warm or at room temperature.
  • Be sure to use canned peaches in syrup and not cans of peach pie filling.
  • Feel free to use white cake mix or angel food cake if desired.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days and reheat in the microwave on a microwave safe plate.
