Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 fresh peaches peeled and pit removed
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 6 ounce can sprite 7-Up or Mountain Dew
- ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter a 9 x 13 pan and set aside.
- Cut peaches into 8 slices each and remove the peel. Place a peach slice at the largest end of the crescent roll and roll it up. Place in the prepared dish. Continue until all the peach slices are rolled.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and add the granulated sugar. Give it a quick stir so that it’s just combined and stir in vanilla. Pour the sugar mixture over the dumplings. Pour about 1/2 of the can (6 oz) of Sprite around the edges of the baking dish.
- Bake for 40 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the rolls are completely cooked.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
