Peach Pie
This Peach Pie features layers of sliced peaches mixed with a cinnamon and nutmeg-spiced sugar blend, baked between two pastry crusts for a traditional double crust dessert. The filling is thickened with flour and enriched with butter, while the top crust is brushed with an egg wash and sprinkled with coarse sanding sugar for a glossy, textured finish. Baking at moderate heat yields a golden crust and juicy, warmly spiced fruit inside.
