Peach Tea - Sweetened or Unsweetened

Peach Tea is the quintessential end of summer, drink! This Peach Iced Tea is super easy and special because the sun does all of the work for you! This tea can be made into a sweet tea, or just enjoy it unsweetened!

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts water
  • 4 black tea bags
Optional
  • 3-4 Tbsp honey
or
  • 3-4 Tbsp simple syrup recipe below
  • 1-2 peaches sliced

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place water in a glass jar or beverage container.
  2. Add tea bags.
  3. Wash and slice peaches. Add to container.
  4. Place container in the sun for 3-4 hours until tea is your desired strength.
  5. Once tea is done, remove peach slices and tea bag. Sweeten if desired to your desired sweetness.
How to make simple syrup
    Cup of Yum
  1. Add one cup sugar to one cup water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a low boil, stirring constantly until sugar is entirely melted.
  3. Add to a canning jar. Store in refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use either honey or simple syrup to sweeten tea, if desired, not both.
  • If you are in a hurry, you can make traditional tea by boiling the water and adding to the tea bags and peaches. Steep to your desired strength. Cool and enjoy.
  • Peaches can be peeled if desired but this step is not necessary.
  • Store leftovers in refrigerator. Drink within 2-3 days for best flavor.
