Peanut Butter & Jelly Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients

  • ½ cup plus 2 tbsp of butter
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups strawberry jelly

Instructions

  1. Peaheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. grease a 9-by13 inch baking pan
  3. in a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. It will be lighter in color
  4. add in the flour, oats, sugar, baking powder and salt
  5. press half the mixture into an even layer in the bottom of the pan
  6. spread the strawberry jelly in an even layer over the oat mixture
  7. top with the remaining oatmeal mixture
  8. bake for 30 to 40 min
  9. remove from the oven and allow to cool completely (if you can)
  10. Enjoy!
