Peanut Butter Oreo Bars
Peanut Butter Oreo Bars are a layered dessert combining a crushed Oreo and butter crust, a creamy peanut butter filling mixed with graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar, topped with a smooth peanut butter and chocolate glaze. The bars balance crunchy, creamy, sweet, and salty flavors in a no-bake chilled treat.
Ingredients
Oreo Layer:
- 2 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
- 14 Oreo cookies
Peanut Layer:
- 1/2 cup butter melted, unsalted
- 1 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
Chocolate Layer:
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter
Instructions
- Add Oreos to a food processor and process until fine crumbs are formed.
- Mix butter and Oreos and press into 8x8 baking pan evenly and freeze for 10 minutes.
- In a stand mixer add the butter, graham cracker crumbs and peanut butter until creamy, about 1 minute.
- Add in the powdered sugar on the lowest speed setting until well combined and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Gently spread the peanut butter filling into the baking dish evenly and return to the freezer.
- In a medium saucepan on medium heat add the peanut butter and chocolate chips.
- Stir constantly until smooth then pour over the peanut butter layer and tilt to spread.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
