Pear Brie Flatbread
Pear Brie Flatbread combines the creamy richness of melted brie with the sweet, tender slices of pear atop naan bread. Lightly brushed with olive oil and accented by fresh rosemary, the flatbread offers a balanced texture of soft bread and gooey cheese. A finishing drizzle of honey adds a subtle sweetness that highlights the fresh rosemary and pear. This dish serves well as a snack or appetizer and can also work as a light meal when cut into portions.
Ingredients
- 2 Naan flatbread
- olive oil for brushing
- 8 oz Brie cheese rind removed and sliced
- 2 pear thinly sliced, medium
- 1 teaspoon rosemary chopped, fresh
- 1-2 tablespoons honey
- salt to taste, Kosher salt
- black pepper to taste, Kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the flatbread on a large baking sheet. If they don’t fit on one, you can use two baking sheets. Brush lightly with olive oil. Top evenly with brie, sliced pears, and rosemary.
- Place in the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and drizzle the flatbreads with honey. Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Cut the flatbread into pieces and serve immediately.
Notes
- Both naan flatbread and pita bread work well as the base.
- This recipe yields about 8 appetizer-sized servings but can also serve as a light meal.
