Pecan Shortbread Bars
Buttery pecan shortbread bars are rich and delicious treats that you will want to add to your holiday cookie try.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 stick 8 tablespoons butter, unsalted and softened
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 1/4 cups pecan finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Mix together the flour, butter, brown sugar and pecan until the dough comes together (best to use your hands).
- Pat the dough into an ungreased 9-inch square pan. Every 1 1/2 - 2 inches pierce the top with a fork.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the shortbread has browned lightly. Cut while still warm.
