Peppermint Buttercream

A delicious peppermint buttercream frosting that is amazing for all of your holiday baking. Top sweet rolls, layer between cakes, top cupcakes or use on cookies or whoopie pies.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered sugar confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • Optional Crushed Peppermints

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, cream all ingredients together*, except crushed peppermints.
  2. *Start with only 1 tablespoon of milk, and add more to reach desired thickness.
  3. Fold in crushed peppermints just before using.
