Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups water
Instructions
- In a medium sauce, over high heat, bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to medium high, stir in rice and salt and return to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low so it will simmer. Cover and cook for about 16 to 18 minutes until rice is tender and has absorbed all the water.
- Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for about 10 minutes. Then fluff with a fork and serve.
