PF Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps (Copycat Recipe)

These P.F. Chang's copycat chicken lettuce wraps consist of a sweet Asian meat filling scooped into crisp lettuce leaves. Skip takeout and make these instead!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp freshly ground ginger
  • 8 oz can whole water chestnuts drained, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions diced
  • 1 head butter lettuce

  1. On medium heat, preheat a large skillet with the oil. Add the ground chicken to the hot pan. Cook and crumble the chicken.
  2. Add the onions to the crumbled chicken and cook until they are translucent.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar. stir to combine. Pour it over the chicken. Add the ginger and let it all cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add in the water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for 2 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Scoop a spoonful of the chicken mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf. Serve immediately.
