Pigs in a Blanket Recipe

A classic appetizer for kids and adults alike, Pigs in a Blanket will be the first thing you run out of at your next party. Simply roll mini sausages in a crescent roll and bake! Dijon mustard or shredded cheese, along with coarse salt take these over the top!

Ingredients

  • 8 ct refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 14 oz mini cocktail weiners recommended Hillshire Lil' Smokies
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded, optional
  • 2 tbsp butter melted, optional
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt for sprinkling, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F
  2. Roll out and cut each crescent roll triangle into three triangles.
  3. Place each mini sausage onto the larger end of each crescent roll triangle. If using dijon or cheese, spread either one on pastry before you begin rolling.
  4. Roll the crescent starting at the larger end and into smaller end.
  5. Transfer to baking sheet, brush with melted butter and salt (optional).
  6. Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Makes 24 pigs in a blanket total. Please note that you may have a few mini sausages left over.
